We offer a range of mechanical face seals that withstand wear and prevent ingress of abrasive media for rotating applications in harsh environments such as rollers, front idlers, and final drives of tracked vehicles, graders, shovels, ploughs, and scrapers on off-highway and agricultural vehicles. The seals are available with metal parts in high-alloy corrosion-resistant cast iron or in forged roller bearing steel, which offers improved design flexibility. Two metal sealing rings mount in separate face-to-face housings on a lapped seal face. The metal rings are centered within their housings by O-rings, whose elasticity generates a uniform axial face loading for the metal rings and act as static seals on the inner and outer diameter. Operating temperature range for the seals is typically between -40 and +392F (-40 and +200C).
